ASICS Kayano 18 Mens at RunClub Shoe

The main new features of the ASICS Kayano 18 are a lighter and faster upper construction and the newly designed Dynamic DuoMax for improved platform comfort. So after 18 years of the Kayano shoe, just what does the Kayano 18 have to offer over its predecessors:

Dynamic DuoMax

The Kayano 18 offers the same level of support and stability as past models but the multi-rigid shape of the new Dynamic DuoMax technology mean the shoes are over an ounce lighter than the Kayano 17.

Soft Top DuoMax

The GEL Kayano 18 feature the Soft Top DuoMax, which ASICS say 'enhances the platform comfort with gender-specific densities.' As men, in general, have a larger body mass than women, the midsole of a male running shoe is compressed more than a females.

Heel Clutching System

The Kayano 18 removes the traditional internal heel components that were found in its predecessor and replaces them with an exoskeletal heel counter. The counter provides a more comfortable heel fitting and also reduces the risk of friction or irritation
